- מוֹרֶךְm. (b. h. מֹרֶךְ; רָכַךְ) faintness, cowardice. Sifra Bḥuck. Par. 2, ch. 7 (ref. to מרֶךְ, Lev. 26:36, without ו) (read:) אינו אומר והבאתו מורך … אלא … מרךוכ׳ it does not read morekh (with ו, which may be derived from ארך and mean hope, v. אֲרַךְ) but morekh (withont ו) which means fear, terror, despair (v. מָרַךְ); Yalk. Lev. 675 (corr. acc.).
